Hi, I'm Tonya.

The hands and sarcastic brains behind MallyMoon Handmade.

I am originally from Ohio with degrees in art and theatre from Ohio University (go Bobcats!)  After our move to West Virginia, I began my journey into clay by taking a chance on an old beat up kiln and about 300 vintage slip cast molds that were carried one at at time into my small basement!  (I didn't even know if the kiln worked!)

I am completely self-taught and my work is made one at a time and mostly one of a kind with fingerprints and wonky lines and typically lots of color :)

Do you remember what you were doing and feeling when you bought that mug or jewelry from a local market or small shop?  I bet you do!  When you look at that item, those memories are with that piece always.

My goal is to make pottery that helps you feel those feelings every time you pick it up.

Thanks for being here,
